A Scot's review of Season 1 of Outlander

I chanced upon the YouTube video channel of Shaun Alexander, a Scottish vlogger. He's done a series of vlogs about Outlander. This one is his review of Season 1 (warning -- if you've not watched season 1 yet or read the book, there are SPOILERS!):

Oh, I've watched all his Outlander vlogs and found them interesting too. I like him. Will have to check out his other vids. Scotland is a beautiful country.

Welcome to the forum! He's entertaining, that's for sure. I just get the feeling that he's going to be horribly let down by season 3 onwards as the show sort of stops being "about Scotland" after that!

Yeah, not sure if he's going to continue watching the series. He was mostly in it for the clans wasn't he. I am going to be sad to let go of Scotland too. And of the kilts!!!

But so excitied for the new season! Hope I can watch it soon too, me being in Sweden and all. Don't have Starz. :o

Is torrenting too risky in Sweden, or are you quite ethically opposed to doing that? I couldn't easily watch the first two seasons in Canada without paying $40 more a month for cable to get the one channel that was carrying it for those 2 seasons. So I torrented it, and then bought the blu-rays as soon as they were available. Season 3 is airing on a different network in Canada, one that I do get, but since it will be shown with commercials, I might torrent it anyway since it's really awful with ad breaks.

It sure is risky business! Nah, I'm not very ethical in this area. But I did buy the blu-rays after I had watched it. To make amends of course! Mmm. Yes. Let's say that.

I know of 2 sites that stream lots of TV series. I prefer the smaller Swedish site (because subtitles!) but not every show on there gets updated after air date. I do have the second site as plan B but the quality is so so and the sound is often terrible so without subtitles it's not the best for me. The downside are the many pop ups. Some are suspect to say the least.

Your written English is excellent, but I do understand that you'd likely appreciate having subtitles. I hope for your sake you are able to find the episodes fairly easily so that you can join in on the discussions!
