It's really unfortunate that DW won't allow embedding content from Twitter -- because of that, I can't directly embed some of the following videos.

1. Season 4 Preview from Vanity Fair -- the article includes some new photos, as well as video that explores what we can expect this season. Worth a watch!

2. Interview with Sophie Skelton on Brianna's journey in Season 4

3. Cast interview from MTV News (featuring Sam, Caitriona, Sophie and Richard):

Ron D. Moore, Maril Davis, Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe, Richard Rankin and Sophie Skelton did a panel for Paleyfest in NYC. Here's the video of the event:

The actual panel starts around the 2:31 mark.

Here are links to separate interviews Sam and Caitriona gave to the LA Times. There's a video of the full interview at the end of each article (approx 30 minutes each -- not to be confused with the short clip video at the start of each article).

Interview with Caitriona Balfe

Possible spoilers if you've not seen season 3 (or read Voyager).

Panel discussion featuring Cait, Sam, Ron Moore, Maril Davis, Toni Graphia, Matt Roberts, and Jon Gary Steele. The first 16+ minutes are a "highlights of season 3" montage, the discussion starts after that.

Qualifies as a long read, in my book. Not sure we learn anything new but if you're a fan of Sam's you'll likely enjoy it:

To find Jamie’s mindset at any given time, Heughan takes advantage of his access to the only other person in the world who knows the character better—Gabaldon, the author who created him. “We have the same sense of who Jamie is, in terms of his essential character,” Gabaldon tells me over email. “When Sam’s prepping for a new season, he’ll ask me ‘Where is he?’ I’ll then do a brain-dump for him—just write down everything I happen to know about Jamie’s state of mind and how he feels about what’s been happening and what’s going to happen.” Heughan says looking at Jamie’s experiences collectively help him find the character, but after four years in the role, he’s almost like a muscle. “I had to go do ADR the other day, and just being back in Scotland, I noticed my accent got stronger. I feel like I can sort of turn him on and turn him off now.”

Variety has a really lovely interview with Caitriona, Sam and Tobias about their characters' journeys in season 3:

If there’s one thing that’s clear about all three actors, it’s that they take their responsibility to the show and its fans seriously. They’re all quite happy to mock themselves — at one point, there’s a long conversational segue about how Sam would happily wear down Tobias’ superior tennis skills through the deployment of stubborn, unskilled doggedness.

But all three grow contemplative and thoughtful when asked about the complicated lives of the people they play. Over the past two seasons of the show, it’s become obvious that they’ve all worked hard to make the emotional bonds among their characters meaningful and even a little unpredictable.

Pretty good interview. The host sweats a lot, which is a bit distracting...

Sam, Cait and Matthew B. Roberts are interviewed by British Heritage Travel -- and it's a nice change from the usual Outlander interview.

BHT: When BHT spoke to Diana Gabaldon, author of the novels, she said that it was a credit to the Scottish spirit that they didn’t actually succeed in erasing the Highland culture.
Heughan
:
Yeah, absolutely. It’s a very vibrant culture and I think it still feels close to the Scottish people, even now. There’s still talk of independence and there’s a constant state of, not unrest, but of the chance that there could be something better. I guess Scotland has always been the underdog, and we’re quite good at doing that.

This one is with MTV, and features Sam and Cait only. I like this one -- the interviewer asks questions not usually asked of them that aren't necessarily show-related. I have to say that I am getting really tired of the questions about the print shop scene, and I don't understand why they're being so cagey re: what episode that will be -- it's 306. Just a head's up -- the sound is really low -- at times it's difficult to hear (especially the interviewer). You will want to turn up the volume a fair bit.
